Leonardo Da Vinci (1452 - 1519) said, "....learn to see that everything is connected to everything else...". Modern scientific research looks for those connections between health and disease.
As a Community Health Sciences graduate, my particular interest is in facilitating HEALTH LITERACY and consumer protection as it relates to self-help and peer support.
Improving our understanding of health-related language is one way we can more effectively help each other stay well. We don't have to be experts to make good decisions about our health and well-being, but learning to distinguish [ expert information ] from commercial marketing messages is crucial.
The links I post through my pages are provided to help you sort through the millions of pages on the internet that are related to health and wellness. As you explore themes or specifics, in my opinion your knowledge will increase as will your understanding of health-related language. Most of the information I post is produced in Canada or the United States.
